Dickie Anderson is a popular speaker using her humor, talent and writing experiences to entertain and inspire those that write or who long to write. Anderson has a witty knack for turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Her twice-weekly column, From the Porch, shares stories about the joys and sometimes sorrows of our every days. Her articles on the people and history of Amelia Island are featured in regional publications.

Anderson has published four collections of her popular column. The small brightly colored books have proven best sellers in local bookstores.
A self-proclaimed member of the 'new old' and a mother of three grown sons, a grandmother of two, she currently resides with her husband and two Yorkshire Terriers, Oglethorpe and MacGregor on Amelia Island Florida.

Anderson's commitment to her community is evident. She serves as a docent for the Amelia Island Museum of History, served on the Boards of the Amelia Arts Academy, the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival and the Amelia Book Island Festival.
