Dickie Anderson, columnist, essayist and speaker just released her fifth book:"Grandmother Letters", which includes a tutorial for grandmothers everywhere to write their own letters.

"Grandmother Letters" reflect Anderson's irrepressible enthusiasm about being a grandmother. Like so many of her generation the grandchild wait was a long one.

The book includes letters to Anderson's granddaughters, her now deceased grandmothers and mother. Longing to ask them questions that can never be answered, she anticipates her own grandchildren's questions in her letters.

Anderson coordinates writing workshops and often suggests letters as a form of recording family history.

"I wrote letters to my unborn grandchildren and expressed my joy and also many memories of my own babies. New parents keep a baby book and record each first. Grandmother Letters offers grandmothers a chance to write their own stories in the pages in the back of the book."
